Know the story behind the stories.
Great Talks about Photo Realism by Bogdan Sasu is a book that promises to unveil the stories of some of the best international visualization artists in the industry. If you’ve ever wondered what the secrets behind creating photo-realistic images are, you now have a chance to peek inside the great minds who have already captured the attention in the field.
The book is the very first such project uniting world-renowned artists in the 3D community. It has been a challenge, but we are very proud to have been able to bring this project to life.
We would like to thank our mentor Fabio Palvelli without whom none of this would have been possible, as well as to our partners Evermotion, D2 Conferences and CGArchitect. Many thanks to the incredible artists who contributed with some of their best artworks and wonderful stories:
The pre-order offer includes seven 3D scenes for free, as well as a numbered and customized copy with the author’s inscription.

The book puts together 9 stories from world renowed artists, along with other incredible articles. All of this in a A4 landscape format, almost 200 pages, that also contains a curated gallery of images in high-end quality, and full color print.
The book is sold in limited edition, 1000 copies only. Who buys the book during the pre-sale stage, will have some unique additions: numbered edition, personalized based on the buyers name and a thank you note written in person by the author Bogdan Sasu.
9 interviews with Johannes Lindqvist, Raphael Rau, Dušan Vukčevič, Lucia Frascerra, Michela Tonelli, Mohit Sanchaniya, Mano Karlinger, Eduard Caliman, Jakub Čech. A preface written by Jeff Mottle, an article about the use of light by Ciro Sannino and an article about the importance of community by Jason Bergeron of the D2conference.
To top it off, the book includes (in pre-sale) seven 3d scenes realized by the artists with their relative tools and assets. Some of the models included are made by the artists exclusively for this book, some other assets are from our sponsor Evermotion. The scenes are not restricted in use and are licensed only to the owner of the book.
The book costs 69 euros in pre-sale, and it includes the seven 3d scenes plus a written thank you note from the author. After the pre-sale, the book will cost 59 euros but the scenes will be sold separately for 39 euros.
The print is really high quality therefore the book is a bit more expensive than most. Also part of the earnings is given to the artists who have contributed to the project. The project is financed, this adds costs to each printed copy.
We are working hard to find the most convenient shipping service possible. We expect this cost to be around 20 Euros, cost that include not only shipping but packaging, handling and managing the entire operation. Additionally, if you order a book and prefer to pick it up at the D2 Conference you can do so also at no extra charge.
We hope to finalize the printing and all other operations by the end of August. So the book and the scenes, should start shipping beginning of Sept.
